Legal Framework

Terms & Conditions

Please review these terms carefully before accessing our website or placing an order.

Research Use Only

All products supplied by Lucid Peptides are strictly for research, laboratory, and educational purposes only. They are not for human or veterinary use. By purchasing, you confirm that you are a qualified researcher or affiliated with a laboratory or institution and understand the intended use.

Eligibility

Customers must be at least 18 years old and based in the United Kingdom. We reserve the right to request proof of professional or institutional affiliation before fulfilling an order.

Orders & Payments

All orders are treated as offers to purchase and are subject to availability and formal acceptance by Lucid Peptides. A binding contract is formed only when we issue written acceptance (including order confirmation or dispatch confirmation). Payments are securely processed via Stripe or approved providers. Prices are stated in GBP and include VAT where applicable. Lucid Peptides reserves the right to correct pricing errors or obvious mistakes prior to acceptance of an Order.

Fraud / Identity Safeguard

Lucid Peptides may refuse, cancel, suspend, or require verification for any Order, account, or payment where fraud, misrepresentation, regulatory risk, payment irregularity, or breach of these Terms is reasonably suspected.

Shipping

We currently ship only within the UK. Orders are dispatched using tracked and insured courier services. Delivery estimates are provided at checkout but may vary.

Time for Delivery

Any delivery dates or times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Time for delivery is not of the essence, and delay shall not entitle cancellation, rejection, or compensation except where required by applicable UK statutory law.

Returns & Refunds

Due to the nature of chemical reagents, returns are only accepted if products are unopened, incorrect, or damaged upon receipt. Customers must notify us within 48 hours of delivery.

Inspection Obligation

The Buyer must inspect Products immediately upon delivery and notify Lucid Peptides of any discrepancy, defect, shortage, or transit issue within 48 hours. Subject always to statutory rights that cannot be excluded under UK law, failure to notify within that period shall constitute acceptance of the delivery.

Definitions

In these Terms, "Website" means the Lucid Peptides website, "Products" means all goods supplied by Lucid Peptides, "Order" means a request submitted by a buyer to purchase Products, and "Contract" means the agreement formed only when Lucid Peptides accepts an Order in writing. References to "Buyer", "you", or "your" are to the person or entity placing the Order.

Risk & Title

Risk in Products passes to the Buyer upon delivery, including where delivery is attempted at the delivery address provided by the Buyer. Legal and beneficial title to Products remains with Lucid Peptides until we receive payment in full (in cleared funds) for all sums due under the relevant Contract. Until title passes, the Buyer must store Products securely, separately, and in a manner that clearly identifies Lucid Peptides as owner.

Cancellation Policy

Any Order submitted is an offer by the Buyer and may be accepted or declined by Lucid Peptides at our discretion. Where an Order has not yet been accepted, we may cancel and issue a refund. Once accepted, cancellation requests are considered on a case-by-case basis in view of product nature, batch handling, and dispatch status. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable UK consumer law, including statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Regulatory Compliance by Buyer

The Buyer is solely responsible for ensuring that purchase, import, possession, handling, storage, and use of Products comply with all applicable laws, regulations, codes, and institutional policies. By placing an Order, the Buyer confirms that they are legally entitled to acquire and use the Products for lawful research purposes and will not use Products in any prohibited manner. Products may be subject to export controls or regulatory restrictions. The Buyer must not export or re-export Products without ensuring full compliance with applicable UK export control laws.

Product Quality & Testing

All products undergo independent third-party analysis by Janoshik to confirm purity, identity, and consistency. Certificates of Analysis (COAs) are provided for each batch.

No Warranty Beyond COA

Except as expressly set out in the applicable Certificate of Analysis (COA), no further warranties or representations are given in relation to Products, whether express or implied, including as to satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose, or non-infringement. This clause is subject at all times to rights that cannot be excluded under UK law.

Limitation of Liability

Except where the Buyer is acting as a consumer under applicable UK law, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, Lucid Peptides shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, including (without limitation) loss of profit, loss of data, loss of opportunity, loss of anticipated savings, or business interruption. Where the Buyer is acting in the course of business, the liability limitations in this section apply in full. Subject always to mandatory statutory rights, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with any Contract shall not exceed the price paid by the Buyer for the specific Products giving rise to the claim. Lucid Peptides supplies Products strictly for research use only and accepts no liability for misuse, including ingestion, clinical application, administration to humans or animals, or use outside intended lawful research contexts. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.

Force Majeure

Lucid Peptides shall not be liable for any delay in performance, non-performance, or failure to perform any obligation under these Terms where caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, supplier disruption, regulatory action, transport delays, utility interruption, IT failure, cyber incidents, labour disputes, or other force majeure events.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any documents expressly incorporated by reference (including our Privacy Policy), constitute the entire agreement between Lucid Peptides and the Buyer in relation to the subject matter and supersede all prior discussions, understandings, or representations, except where fraudulent misrepresentation is proven.
